"Watercolor Portrait"
For the first time in Mexico, Olga Litvinenko, member of the prestigious watercolor societies IWMA and AWS, a world-renowned artist, and considered one of the best impressionists in portrait and human figure watercolor, will come to Mexico to teach 2 different workshops and demonstrations as part of the III International Art Festival RÍOS DE COLOR.
With an impressive career and training at the Ilya Repin Imperial Academy of Arts (Saint Petersburg), Olga will offer two exclusive workshops: the first titled “Human Figure” (2 days) and the second “Portrait” (2 days).

The Portrait Workshop will take place from October 14 to 15, 2026.
The workshop will be held in Mexico City, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including a one-hour lunch break.

Content
During the workshop, each participant will create two pieces: a portrait of a child/woman and a portrait of an elderly person. Topics covered will include:
- Anatomy, volume, and techniques for realistic and impressionistic drawing and watercolor.
- Freehand portrait painting.
- Academic methods and expressive watercolor.
- How to develop your own style and loosen your hand.

Olga Litvinenko
Olga Litvinenko is a prominent contemporary watercolor painter and teacher, known for her expressive and refined works in this delicate artistic medium.
She was born and lives in St. Petersburg, Russia, where sheworks as an artist and teacher.
She began her artistic training at the St. Petersburg State Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, specializing in graphic arts.
She completed postgraduate studies in the Department of Graphic Arts, after which she began teaching watercolor, a technique she has explored throughout her career.
Her exhibition career began in 1999, and since then she has participated in numerous international exhibitions and watercolor competitions.
She has received multiple international awards and distinctions in the field of watercolor, establishing herself as a recognizedfigure at art festivals and biennials around the world.
She has been an honorary member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS) and the International Masters of WatercolorAssociation and Alliance (IMWA), organizations that bringtogether the world's leading watercolorists.
Her works have been exhibited both in Russia and in international exhibitions, including in countries such as France, the United States, China, Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, and others.
Litvinenko's paintings are part of private art collections aroundthe world.
Olga specializes in figurative painting and scenes with greatemotional sensitivity, using watercolor as her primary mediumto explore color, light, and expression.
Her approach combines a solid academic foundation with a personal vision of portraiture and the human figure, alwaysseeking to capture not only the form but also the character and soul of her subjects.
In addition to her artistic production, Olga leads international workshops and masterclasses where she teaches her approach to watercolor, expressive techniques, and composition, attracting students and artists from various countries.
