Ivan Loginov
Ivan Loginov (b. 1994) in Abakan (South Siberia), Russia.
He began his career at age 15 in Saint Petersburg. From an early age he developed a passion for classical representational art.
He dedicated most of his time to studying the principles of classical Russian painting at the Imperial Academy of Arts, which maintains an unbroken tradition since 1757. During his studies, he focused not only on the technical aspects of painting, but also on philosophy. His goal is to achieve a balance between inner and outer beauty in human portraiture.
His success comes from a deep understanding of the classical school of thought in painting and drawing. He strives to combine and overlay all his skills to achieve accurate representation of the human soul.
He likes to play and implement contrasts in color, technique and ideas. Therefore, even in his large-scale historical paintings, clear messages about current problems in society can be found.
From 2009 to 2013 he studied at the Academic Art Lyceum named after Johanson, in Saint Petersburg.
From 2013 to 2019 he studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (Repin Academy of Fine Arts), Painting Department, in Professor Pesikov's studio, Saint Petersburg.
He studied with P.A. Sadovsky, N.D. Blokhin, D.A. Collegova, I.V. Petrov, N.N. Repin, N.S. Lysak, G.A. Gukasov, A.L. Ivanov, I.V. Ovcharenko and other professors from the Academy of Arts.
From 2019 to 2021 he was Assistant to the main master at the Imperial Academy of Arts.
Since 2016 he works in his studio in Saint Petersburg.
