Uladzimir Shapovalov – Belarus
Uladzimir Shapovalov (Minsk, Belarus, 1989) is a visual artist specializing in watercolor and easel graphics. He trained at the State Art Gymnasium-College of Minsk in the ceramics department (2005–2008) and at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Easel Graphics (2008–2014) and a Master’s degree in 2015, with research focused on urban landscapes in Belarusian watercolor. His graduation series of watercolors, Views of Minsk, received the highest grade from the evaluation committee.
Since 2009, he has consistently participated in national and international exhibitions. He has been part of platforms such as the Autumn Salon with Belgazprombank and Art Minsk, and has represented Belarus at the Fabriano in Acquarello international festival in multiple editions. His work has been recognized in competitions such as the Vivat Vita Triennial (Minsk) and the IWS Santiago Watercolor Competition.
He has held solo exhibitions in Minsk and Vilnius, conducted watercolor masterclasses in museum settings, and is a member of the Belarusian Artists’ Union. Since 2014, he has worked as a Senior 2D Artist at Wargaming (World of Tanks). He currently lives and works in Vilnius, Lithuania.
