Konstantin Sterkhov – Russia.
Konstantin Sterkhov (Izhevsk, Russia, 1968). Artist and master watercolorist with over 30 years of experience exploring light, color, and emotion in every piece. Born in Russia and trained at the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg, Konstantin masters advanced watercolor techniques, combining transparent layers, meticulous detail, and a subtle use of light to create depth and life in his compositions. His style blends classical precision with the freedom and freshness of contemporary watercolor, producing works that are both technically refined and emotionally vibrant.
He currently lives in the United Kingdom, where he continues to create, teach, and share his passion with students and collectors worldwide. Konstantin has participated in over 200 international exhibitions, including biennials and competitions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and his works are part of public and private collections in museums in Mexico, Italy, Finland, and Russia.
Among his most notable achievements are first-place awards in the “Cityscape” and “Landscape” categories at the Art Bridge Biennial in Saint Petersburg, as well as being a finalist in the Abu Rawash Masters Award 2021. He has also served as a juror for prestigious watercolor biennials and acts as an international ambassador for leading art supply brands.
Beyond the gallery, Konstantin is a generous mentor: he has written books, led workshops, and produced educational content that inspires artists worldwide. His art seeks to convey more than technique—it aims to capture emotion, light, and life, creating a space where viewers can feel connected to the painting.
