Born in the industrial heart of England, he lives now in rural Shropshire.

He is an elected member of the prestigious RI (The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours) and a distinguished member of the NWS (The National Watercolour Society of America).

He is the author of three books, two on drawing techniques and the latest, 'Watercolour Heart & Soul', which has been critically acclaimed.

He has contributed numerous articles to Art Magazine and has appeared in several art books.

In 2018, he organized the first International Watercolor Masters Invitational Exhibition at Weston Park, Shropshire, England, setting attendance records.

In 2022 and 2024, he led a broader event at Lilleshall Hall, Shropshire, UK, with multiple daily demonstrations and workshops by Masters.

He paints with pure watercolor using a meticulous technique of multiple glazes, sometimes up to 20 layers of transparent paint.

A recurring theme in his work is nature reclaiming what man has created and abandoned.
